Guild Hall Comedy Night featuring Ernie Vicente With George Maratos (Mature Content - Adult Themes)
Saturday April 6th, 2024. 9pm
The Guild is thrilled to present Filipino stand-up comedian Ernie Vicente! With his laidback observations and surreal one liners, Ernie tours regularly across North America. He recently did a taping for the Just For Laughs Originals album and was also featured on CBC’s LOL and Sirius XM. The evening will be hosted by Emilie Lefrançois and Ernie will be joined by local comedian George Maratos.
George Maratos
George's commitment to comedy began at 9 years old when he hid behind the couch for nine hours after pretending to run away. His parents didn't laugh. That commitment to the craft has continued in the Yukon. In 2005 he helped launch the open mic scene in Whitehorse. He was also part of the sketch troupe "Jump the Shark" His comedy has taken him to Australia, Chicago, New York and Watson Lake. Performing alongside the likes of Kyle Kinane, K. Trevor Wilson and Mr. Lahey. Today he can be found telling jokes in the basement of the boiler room sometimes hiding behind the couch.
