Suze (Michaela Watkins, Casual, The Dropout) is a single mom whose entitled daughter has just left home for college. As a fresh empty-nester, she barely has a moment to enjoy her newfound freedom before she suddenly finds herself trapped into caring for her daughter’s heartbroken ex-boyfriend Gage (Charlie Gillespie), whom she can barely tolerate at best. As this odd couple form an unlikely bond, Suze finds herself on a path of self-discovery and realizes what living for herself is actually about.
Drawing out laughs from very relatable circumstances on both sides of the generational gap, real-life couple Linsey Stewart and Dane Clark’s script and assured direction deliver a funny and heartwarming drama about familial relationships and the unexpected friendships that help you become your true self.
