A play-reading fundraiser for the Guild!
Come in from the cold and join us for Conor McPherson's modern classic of Irish theatre The Weir. Winner of the 1999 Olivier Award for best new play, The Weir is a “modern masterpiece” (The Express) that is both haunting and “emotionally searing” (The Guardian). It is a beautiful play that celebrates storytelling, the power of Irish folklore, and the comfort of human connection. The bar will be open (Guinness and Harp’s on offer) and the music will be playing! Produced by a handcraft spectacle. Featuring your man and a fine cast of local performers don't you know!
Content warnings: Some swearing and themes and content appropriate for a mature audience, including death of a loved one (not physically represented on stage). Recommended ages 14+
Masks are strongly recommended when not seated. We will have a Corsi-Rosenthal box to filter indoor air throughout the performance.
If you have flu or cold symptoms, please do no attend the performance. You can phone the Yukon Arts Centre box office prior to that night’s show for a refund.
