Originally from Prince Edward Island, Rose Cousins lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia and tours internationally. Fueled by collaboration, she deeply values being a part of multiple music communities.

In live performance, it has been said "her voice draws you in until you realize you are at the heart of the storm." (Guardian) Rose Cousins does not shy away from the more difficult feelings of the human condition. She invites audiences on a journey in raw emotion - embracing sadness, pain, and longing, counterbalanced by her dry wit and insightful observations that add levity and reassurance that there a triumph for every challenge.

Opening for Rose Cousins is Shannon O'Donovan, who is a singer songwriter arising from her roots in the Yukon, Rocky Mountains and, most recently, her family homestead in Beaver Valley. Delving deeper into her songwriting, her songs are rich in storytelling and the textures of family, motherhood, humor, and the complexity of our relationship with the land. With a style that crossesgenres, including indie folk, bluegrass, and country, Shannon captures the attention of her listeners with authenticity and catchy melodies.

If you are sick or exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home. DO NOT attend the performance if you are ill. Please contact the Box Office at (867) 667-8574 or emailing boxoffice@yac.ca if you are unable to attend due to illness.
