Following the current Yukon Government COVID-19 restrictions that have been lifted, the YAC Mainstage will operate at 100% capacity for this event. Social distancing ‘bubbles’ are not in place and other members of the public may be seated next to you. Mask use is recommended.
Longest Night 2022 ‘Song In The Dark’ is a celebration of the human voice in song, chorus and spoken word. New compositions / writings include works by Scott Maynard, Ben Johnston-Urey, Peter Jickling, and Daniel Janke. Featured soloists are Lorène Charmetant - alto, Hannah Mazurek – soprano, and Peter Jickling, poet.. Problematic Orchestra is Yukon’s answer to a resident orchestra, bringing together a diverse group of musicians for a unique genre-bashing large ensemble experience. Problematic Orchestra is administered by the not-for-profit Longest Night Society.
