NORDTING is a staged performance that deals with identity and power structures of the North. NORDTING comes all the way from the other side of the Arctic, from the North of Norway, with an amazing, thought provoking and humorous cocktail of gala show, powerpoint-lecture and community meeting.

NORDTING Whitehorse

NORDTING - The Northern Assembly is:

- a peoples parliament of the North

- a party for the periphery

- a separatist movement for the arctic colony.

NORDTING offer political analysis, music for oil barrels, singing and dancing, powerpoint, lottery and voting.

Whitehorse is the North of Canada. As most places in the Arctic, the capitol is far away down south. The power is in the south. And the money usually ends up in the south. NORDTING is here to help change all that. NORDTING is an assembly for the North, the whole North and nothing but the North.

Should the Yukon become an independent state? Should the national anthem of Canada be changed into «The True North Strong and Free, Ottawa and Toronto will stay away from thee»? How can we Make the North Great Again?

You, the people of Whitehorse, are invited to make your own decisions!
If you are sick or exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home. DO NOT attend the performance if you are ill. Please contact the Box Office at (867) 667-8574 or emailing boxoffice@yac.ca if you are unable to attend due to illness.
