“Pre-Professional:”
The Heart of Riverdale presents the first ever Art from The Heart youth arts festival (previously called Dancing Through Life), May 27 – 31 at the Yukon Arts Centre. In order to adapt to COVID-19 safety guidelines, Art from The Heart will be presented in eight shows over five days. Each show will also be streamed, and online tickets are Pay What You Decide.
Three diverse and exciting programs feature the talented dancers and musicians of The Heart of Riverdale. This year’s festival includes three productions: Little Luna: Poetry in Motion, featuring the dancers of our Classical Ballet Program; The Jungle Book, performed by the students in our developmental programs; and last but not least, Dance Dance Evolution, performed by our pre-professional dancers. Also, don’t forget to check out our Art in Action exhibition in the Youth Gallery (starts May 18)! You don’t want to miss these incredible evenings of dance, music, and art!
Pay What you Decide (price options: $5, $10, $15, $25, $50)
Thursday, May 27th at 7pm: “Pre-Professional:” This show features Dance Dance Evolution (pre-professional dance production) and Little Luna: Poetry in Motion (ballet production). It runs about 105 minutes in length with no intermission.
