I, Claudia by Kristen Thomson. Directed by Allyn Walton. Featuring Claire deBruyn (Thursday and Saturday performances) and Krisandra Reid (Wednesday and Friday performances).
Sponsored by JP&Co. Mortgage, Yukon Government, Lotteries Yukon, City of Whitehorse, Whitehorse Motors, Yukon Brewing
In this classic of Canadian theatre, one performer in mask creates four distinct characters - Claudia, a young preteen, Drachman, a school janitor, Claudia’s grandfather Douglas, and Leslie, Claudia’s soon-to-be stepmom. Together, these characters then take us on a riveting journey into the psyche of Claudia, a 12-and-three-quarter year old girl with a lot on her mind: school, puberty, her dad’s remarriage and a hurting heart.
Winner of the 2001 Dora Moore Award for outstanding new play. "I, Claudia is blissfully funny and unexpectedly touching." - Richard Ouzounian
Some swearing. Some mature subject matter. Recommended ages 12+
Latecomers will not be admitted
