Dir. Fredrik Gertten, 2019, SWE, 92 minutes In English Spanish Italian Korean German with English subtitles.

Housing as a human right documentary. Around the world, housing prices are soaring past income levels and the cost of living. This ground-breaking film follows Canadian Leilani Farha, newly appointed UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Housing, in her fight to define affordable housing as a fundamental human right. In her quest, she travels to some of the cities hardest hit by the crisis—London, New York, Barcelona and Toronto, where housing prices have increased at three times the rate of income. With the support of great thinkers such as Joseph Stiglitz, Saskia Sassen and journalist Roberto Saviano, Farha confronts the big business perpetrators who put profits above the lives and safety of the urban populace.
