× Learn how to make moccasins in this amazing workshop with artist and academic Shelby Blackjack. Shelby Blackjack is a member of the Little Salmon Carmacks First Nation and is of Northern Tutchone descent. Blackjack’s class thoroughly walks through every step of how to make a pair of moccasins, from sewing the liners to beading. She will be teaching students about the origin of the style of moccasins they are creating.

There are two pricing options available for this workshop: Option 1. $243 - for commercial moose hide Option 2. $283 –for commercial moose hide with home tanned moose tongues (where the beading will be) – Shelby Blackjack, the instructor, highly advises this option as home tanned hide is easier to sew into when beading

The course dates are September 18, 25, October 2, 10, and 16 from 5:20pm to 8:20pm in the Yukon Arts Centre Green Room.
