Performance Notes
Cyanotype is an early method of photography, and a form of printmaking. This process uses a photosensitive chemical, that when applied, is a light green colour. Once exposed to light, it starts to change colour and gets darker. The chemical is then washed away and you are left with a beautiful indigo blue colour. If objects are placed on the paper while the chemical is being exposed to light, one ends up with imprints or silhouettes of the objects.
Date: July 18th-July 20th, 2017 Time: Each day it is held from 5:30pm – 7:30pm Instructor: Helen O’Connor Cost: $76.00 Other: Materials such as paper, chemical and sponge brushes are provided. Participants may want to (and are encouraged) to bring their own objects and things they want to use for their compositions.
