PIHD- The Taming of the Shrew Screening

Performance in HD finishes up the 2017-18 season on March 18th 2018 with The Taming of the Shrew (Bolshoi Ballet). Acclaimed choreographer Jean-Christophe Maillot’s fast-paced, athletic production of The Taming of the Shrew is a perfect vehicle for the superb strengths of the Bolshoi. Drawing out all that is witty and light-hearted in Shostakovich’s music, this vibrant production perfectly conveys Shakespeare’s brilliantly entertaining depiction of the clash between two feisty individuals, as independent, tempestuous Katharina is ‘tamed’ by the boorish Petruchio.

Tickets for all performances are $18.00 for general admission, and we are pleased to have a self-declared low income ticket price of $12.00. We will also have a group rate. Groups of 4 or more pay the lower ticket price for all seats (with 4 seats, that’s a potential saving of up to $24.00!)
