Jazz on the Wing - Nelson B.C. & Toronto pianist David Restivo Quartet
"The piano man that ranks as one of Canada's national treasures plays here like he has nothing to prove and is playing for the sheer joy of it. Actually, he's got an impressionistic travelogue going on here that starts with a tour of Italy and ends with some good old fashioned bebop." ~ Chris Spector, Midwest Record
One of Canada's most respected and influential jazz artists, David Restivo is a 3-time winner of the National Jazz Awards' Pianist of the Year Award. His recent album, Arancina was nominated for the 2022 Juno Award for group Jazz Album of the Year.
David is well known for his work with Rob McConnell's Boss Brass and Tentet, the Mike Murley Quintet, and legendary songwriter Marc Jordan.
David Restivo - grand piano, Mike Rud - guitar, Joel Fountain - drums and Jill McKenna - upright bass
